I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Perhaps I was born with a pencil in hand. Drawing has always been, and still is, my favourite pastime. After work, I create atmospheric illustrations and drawings filled with intricate details, often inspired by people and plants.
I am an illustrator, sketch artist, and graphic designer. I graduated in Graphic Arts from the Faculty of Arts at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland, where I completed my diploma in printmaking. Years ago I moved to Krakow, where I have lived and created ever since.
Most of my work is done in sketchbooks, using pencils, ink, or pens. Some say that black ink runs through my veins. Sketching is my most natural form of expression and a transcript of my everyday life. Recently, I have also discovered calligraphy and lettering, a very calming and meditative experience.
I adore coffee, which I sometimes incorporate into my artwork. I enjoy mixing techniques. Whenever you spot spilled coffee or watercolours on my work, that’s intentional.
TOMA star-patterned pens have been with me since my school days, my favourite writing tools. In secondary school, I would sketch during classes with whatever was at hand—and that usually was a TOMA pen. A few years ago, I began sharing these sketches on Instagram, and that’s how I became a TOMA ambassador. I am thrilled to be among the first to test the brand’s latest products and to create new drawings using TOMA’s tools while recording the creative process.
